Might be the last day of shooting

Tomorrow's shoot might just be the last one. We've got Kelly Haigh and Justin Kellam coming in to serve up some sweet country and comedy. Will post pictures of the madness. You will have to wait to see moving images of the magic though.

And the band played

sylvie, randall and kailen finally performed together as a band. we think this will be the last scene of the film. we'll see if that's still the case after we do the edit.

these guys were great. they learned a cover song by OMD called Electricity in a very short time and delivered the goods on film and had a fun time.

Shape shifting lizards

Had another great scene today with the ELTEE cast. This time it was thanks to a special appearance by Emma who plays Zoe. Thanks to Joanna for the casting of this role. This scene concerns conspiracy theories and some other juicy plot bits.

On the Weekend

We did some filming with Derek who play Lars VanDieman. He was great and I look forward to editing the clips together.

In the meantime check out some stuff we filmed earlier in the production.

Finished filming all the hotplate stuff today. Randall somehow became a member of the band. photos to come later.

it was an amazing shoot with REAL LIVE MUSICIANS playing ACTUAL INSTRUMENTS. thanks to steve and dan for spending an evening at the hive. and a special thanks to terry for bringing his sexy hvx200 to the set as the wild third camera.

Back to filming

First off I want to vent about the blogwriter app for the iphone. I spent 10 minutes writing a post and then the phone rang and it was erased. Don't you think that would be job one in making that app? I think that is the last time I use it. The other problem is you can't upload photos natively from it. Other apps like facebook and myspace have no problem with it.

Technology, you suck.! Get your shit together and get back to me!

Hard to believe the last time we filmed something was December 7th. I could blame it on my new job, personal shit and my new apartment but the thing is procrastination played a big part.

Well, live at the Hive/Pop Filter happened and it was a very good thing. We got great footage from three bands: Vincat, Library and Make Love. Shot some scenes with Randall and Kalen interacting with the bands as well as a scene with Randall and Keith (a prince album co-stars).

Two night later we filmed Vincat live at performance works (thanks to Terry Stewart for second camera) which may or may not be in the film.

Looks like we have about 6-8 more days of shooting. Then the editing and post will probably take us into late spring. Expect to see a finished film in the early summer.
